This is where an audience may buy tickets (box office, telephone, Internet, Tourist Office, ticket agency, etc.). Some sales channels are internal and linked directly to the ticketing system whereas others are external, do not access the ticketing system and work on a system of contingents.

An internal sales channel may have an operator (box office, telephone receptionist, or be completely self-service (internet, ticket vending machine). If the sales channel does not have an operator it is linked to a virtual operator).
