Aim: create your sales channel and define its the main rules

A sales channel is a physical or virtual place where the audience can buy tickets.

Creation

When creating a new one you'll need to decide if internal or external: majority of channels are internal and it means they are linked directly to the ticketing system; in some situations (e.g. when using an integrated reseller platform) you may need external ones, which work on a system of contingents. An internal sales channel may have an operator (box office staff, telephone receptionists,etc.), or be completely self-service (ticketshop, ticket vending machine). If the sales channel does not have an operator it is linked to a virtual operator.

There are several types of sales channels available in S-360. It is not possible to change the type once saved.
Here below you find the main types:

Italian Certification

Reselling platform are not available for Italian clients using a Certified license of S-360

You will then need to select the organization (if you manage more than one) will be linked to this sales channel.  It is not possible to change the selection once saved.

Last filter will allow you to define which contingents can be managed through the sales channel.
Quotas and seats linked to unauthorized contingents will result not visible and unavailable.

Parameters

Order expiry delay: duration of the cart (in hour:minutes). After this delay, the customer's cart will be emptied. If a customer add new tickets to his cart, then the delay is reset.
A value should be configured even for back office sales channels (even very high) otherwise some orders may be in progress for years and cause technical issues.

Order maximum lifespan: maximum lifespan of a cart. This overrides the expiry delay below (see more info https://confluence.secutix.com/x/XQACAw)

Contact file access: it authorizes the sales channels to look for contacts in the database (put on yes to do sales associated to contacts at box office for example)

With cash float: if yes, this activate the cash float management functionalities when you reach sales screen

Mandatory contact origin: if yes, the contact origin (country or ZIP code) will be mandatory for box office sales

Payment service provider: for online sales or on site sales (specific payment contracts should pre-exist between the institution and payment provider)

Payment service provider (MOTO): for payment over the phone (specific payment contracts should pre-exist between the institution and payment provider)

Display net prices: if yes, prices will be displayed without tax (ticketshop)

Invoicing method:

  • Systematic: an invoice is created for each sale/refund in SecuTix
  • On request for order (back office): a dialog box will ask you at every order if you want to create an invoice
  • On request after close: invoices can be generated only after the order is closed (from file detail or from invoices screen)
  • Never: invoices cannot be created in SecuTix

Default seat selection mode:

  • Automatic, view only: 
    • online => customers cannot select their seat, but they can see where the automatic seat assignment has positionned them
    • back office => seat can be automatically allocated, but operator can modify the seat assignment 
  • Choice on seat map
    • online => customers can autonomously select their seats on the seat map
    • back office => operator can select on the seat map (no automatic proposal will be made)
  • Automatic and modify:
    • online => customers are automatically assigned seats but they can modify and select other seats on the seat map
    • back office => seat can be automatically allocated, but operator can modify the seat assignment 
  • Without map: 
    • online => seating is automatically done but customers cannot see the seat map. They can only see the seat information (for example: block row seat number)
    • back office => operator cannot see the map but needs to select an area/block in which automatic seat assignment must be done
  • Without seating: 
    • online => no seat is assigned at the moment of the sale. Operator needs to do seating with dedicated tool in SecuTix back office
    • back office => no seat is assigned at the moment of the sale. Operator needs to do seating with dedicated tool in SecuTix back office

Max quantity per performance: for competition/events, maximum ticket quantity that can be purchased for each order for each match/performance

Sender email: email address from which transactional emails will be sent for emails sent from this sales channel (ask your SecuTix account manager if you need to change the address domain because there can be deliverability impacts if you change without notifying SecuTix). This sender email can be overwritten via a service for each email template if required.

Allow additional "target group" specific shipment modes: if you use contingents of type "target group", check this box if you want to allow specific shipment modes by target groups on this sales channel
