Each shipment has a type. Here is the list of types with purpose:

1is this shipment mode applicable to tickets / documents? (some are predefined, like "e-mail" type)

No  = it will onnly be available to customers living in the country of the organization

Yes = available to customers outside of the country of the organization

Any = available to both domestic and international customers

By zone = select a Delivery Zone for which this shipment is allowed

3Configure availability of shipment mode depending on the number of days before the product.
This is relevant for delivery by post where you'd prefer to hide this shipment mode when getting too close to the event date.

"International" parameter for "By Hand" types NB: For ByHand types, "International" field must be set to "any" if you want to sell tickets for unnumbered seatmaps from screen Sales > Quick Sales > Without map
