Originally dedicated to providing insight on sales to partners and producers, TED (The Executive Dashboard) can now be easily configured for your own needs. For example, you can access and easily monitor your sales through a mobile-friendly portal or provide a direct access to sales data to executives of your institution without having to train them on accessing the back-office or having to send them reports regularly.

Solution

A new contact criteria, named TED admin has been created that can be used to mark a structure as a TED admin. Any relay of a TED admin structure will be able to view all the catalogue made available on a given producer portal, regardless whether this structure is actually the producer of the events or products.

We recommend giving TED admin access rights to internal producers only, i.e., your own in-home entity. Indeed, while producer contacts also need to be granted access to specific producer portals, thus providing a 2nd safeguard, TED admins can view the data of the entire catalogue available on that portal, as configured through the activity and product profiles.

Getting started

Assuming you already have a sales channel of type Producer/partner space configured (TED), included the configuration of the activity and product profiles, here are the steps to follow to create a TED admin access.

Create an all-seeing producer/partner

Since with great power comes great responsibilities, we recommend creating a dedicated producer (or partner) structure that will be used as an all-seeing producer and only adding as relays the people who should have access to the full data available in TED.

Then set the TED admin contact criteria in the structure.

Link your structure to the producer portal

Technical limitation

Since TED admins will potentially have access to a very large number of catalogue items, for performance and load reasons, we have introduced a limit on the maximum number of items displayed in the dashboard. The user will be informed to refine the filters in order to view the items not displayed. By default, the limit is set to 1000 and can modified using the following key:

  • TED.maxNumberOfLoadProduct

  • No labels
