The promoter/producer model is the ability for a promoter to set-up his own products in SecuTix. The development of this feature has started in Gabelhorn V1 and will continue in Allalin. This page describes the improvements that will be delivered in Allalin V1.

Set-up of visit passes and time slot passes

An operator working for a promoter can only access to a subset of the visit spaces that are relevant for him. In accordance with the global philosophy of the promoter/producer model, the main promoter can modify the relevant visit spaces and the additional promoter has only a read-only access. Thanks to this improvement, the main promoter may create new time slots for his visits or change the contingents related to "his" time slots.

More precisely, an operator working for a promoter may access to visit spaces (or simple spaces in case of open passes) meeting one of the following criteria:

  • The visit space is used by at least one product that may be accessed by the current promoter (the one for which the operator works)
  • Or the visit space has been created by the current promoter

This filtering of spaces is performed in following screens:

  • List of visit spaces (allowing to create or modify time slots belonging to a given visit space)
  • Visit Pass / Timeslot Pass Details > List Spaces (allowing to assign a visit space to a visit Pass / Timeslot Pass)
  • Open Pass > List Spaces (allowing to assign a space to an open Pass)

Set-up of events

The main promoter of an event can perform following changes on the sales configuration of the performances belonging to that event

  • He can change the contingent assigned to a seat
  • He can change the seat category of a seat
  • He can freeze or invalidate a seat

The promoter may also modify unnumbered areas belonging to such sales configurations:

  • He may change the seat category of the area
  • He may change the contingent assigned to the area
  • He may freeze or invalidate a number of seats belonging to the area

Report generation

(from Allalin V1.14)

Problem

For the moment, it was necessary to prevent all promoters from accessing to the list of reports screen in the back-end since such an access would allow them to get information from products they aren't responsible of. As a result, promoters couldn't generate reports about product configuration since these reports aren't available on the promoter dashboard and web reporting.

Solution

The solution provided by Secutix is based on the following principle:

  • All promoters may use the producer dashboard and web reporting to see their sales and availability information
  • Promoters setting up their products by themselves may have a restricted access to the reports in the back-end in order to use reports of Configuration and List of seats domains only. They aren't allowed to configure or remove a report.

More details

When an operator working for a promoter accesses to the list of Report screen:

  • He can only generate report (Standard, Exclusive, Custom) of Configuration and List of seats domains.
  • Other functions (create new report, delete report, modify or rename a report) are forbidden.
  • Reports of other domains are filtered out.

And then, in the report generation screen:

  • Dropdown product only contains the products following the rules defined in the promoter/producer model.
  • When a single entry product is selected (event or competition), dropdown Space is reloaded to display only the spaces that are used by one of the performances of the selected product.
