When launching the export function of the printer interface, the operator has now the choice between:

  • The current format of letter file containing one line per operation
  • A new, more compact format containing a single line per shipment of the order. In almost all cases, the file will contain only one line per order.

The new format is suited to the situations where the printing company has to manage the distribution of some products in addition to the printing of tickets. Ticket content is provided by the ticket file and isn't provided anymore in detail in the letter file because it doesn't have any impact on the printing company's operations. On the other hand, the letter file contains more detail about the services (example: books) contained in the order because the printing company has to process their delivery.

In summary, a line of the letter file contains:

  • Some columns describing the unique ticketing product (in this context, ticketing = all products except services) contained in the order. If the order contains several products, these columns are left blank.
  • A column mentioning the total number of ticketing products inside the order
  • 5 sets of 3 columns describing each a service. Each set of columns contains following information:
    • Product external name
    • Item external name
    • Number of items

The operator can choose the new letter file by checking the box "Use compact format" in the function scheduling screen.
