In SecuTix, there is a dedicated product family named "Donations". You can access this through the Catalogue menu 'Donations'


You can create your Donation product like any other inside SecuTix, either by creating a New product, or by using the useful "Copy From Season" button which allows you to copy a previously created Donation product into your current season.

Within each Donation product you can configure any predefined amounts you would like, but additionally create a "user defined" amount which allows the customer to specify how much they would like to donate.

Once you have created, validated and run your new Donation product, you are able to allocate this to your product profiles, and make this available for sale both online and in the back office like any of product in SecuTix.

TIP: When you add your Donation products to the product profile - be sure to remember to check that the Tariff which is used is also made available online. This can be done through Product Profile > Tariffs


So, how can I make my Donation appear to all customers online?

Many websites will alert users, whilst they are transacting, that donations are available. In SecuTix, we do this using the "Cross-Selling Profiles" options.


Within your Cross-Selling Profiles, you are able to set:

  • Type of Cross-Selling (For Donations, "Cross-selling" is the best option as this offers to the user after adding to basket. In other examples, Up-Selling (before product selection) and After-Sales (at the payment confirmation screen) might be useful)

  • "Base Products" (I.e. What needs to be selected to offer this alert to the customer. In this example, we add all products as the Donation is likely to be offered to all users. However if there was a certain product where a Donation is not applicable, it is possible to just no add it)

  • Target Crossed Product (I.e. What is to be offered. For Donations, this is the Donation product)


Once this is setup, activated on the web portal in question and validated, it will automatically alert to user that donations are possible online.
