Open products are a special "joker" product family, as they can be used in situations when any another product family isn't suitable for what you are trying to do.
They have the following characteristics:
- they need to be associated to a contact
- they cannot be sold online
- their price can be preset but the operators will always have the possibility to change it when put in the cart
- operator must input a simple comment
For example they might be used in situations when you need special fees, parking, travel (e.g. coach trips), accommodation...
Beyond these special conditions, the configuration follows the steps used by services.
Italian certification
Open products are by default disabled for Italian clients using a certified license of S-360 and in any case they cannot be used as an alternative for certified products (events, season tickets).
