Currently, you may encounter issues with TNAC access control if some end customers try to enter your venue with an open pass bought more than 500 days ago (for example, an open pass valid for 2 years from the purchase date). Your end customers could also experience difficulties if they buy a time slot pass or a visit pass more than 1'500 (4 years) in advance, but this shouldn't happen often. In order to avoid such issues, SECUTIX provides a new barcode format specially designed to store validity duration of very long lasting open passes or visit passes bought very long in advance.

Solution

A new barcode format, called Dated (full validity date) has been especially designed if you are using seasons with a very long period and have defined long lasting open passes or allow to purchase time slot passes or visit passes very long in advance. The barcode format can be selected in the menu Organisation context > initialisation > characteristics.

When the operator saves some changes to a season lasting more than 5 years, he will be invited to switch to this new barcode format.

The operator will only see the message if he clicks on save. He won't see it if he clicks on save and close.

Getting started

The new barcode format is mainly intended for our customer using currently the Dated format (renamed as Dated (Standard mode) to better distinguish it from the new format). Changing the Access control type will affect the process of scanning tickets. In order to avoid issues during access control with already issued tickets, you should proceed carefully and use following steps:

Changing barcode format may affect access control

  • Please request a service to migrate the old tickets to a white list ASAP after having changed the access control type
  • Please update the Access control application on Mobile device
  • Update the configuration on menu Institution/ Organisations / Access control parameters
  • Contact our support team if you have any concern.
