Conditional tariffs can now be configured with a specific quantity ratio with respect to the selected quantity of the parent tariffThe available quantity of conditional tariffs could be configured to be either defined by its min/max configuration or could be made to also depend on the quantity selected for the parent tariff. However, in the latter case, the maximum quantity was always limited to the selected quantity of the parent tariff, i.e., implicitly it allowed for a 1:1 ratio. It is now possible to define any quantity ratio.

Solution

The idea is thus to allow to explicitly define the ratio that should apply when the conditional tariff's quantity depends on the quantity of the parent tariff.

Getting started

In the configuration of the conditional tariff, two new fields allow you to define this ratio. The fields, disabled by default, are enabled when the option "Enable dependent maximum quantity" is activated.

  • Parent tariff threshold quantity: parent quantity required to allow for the matching child quantity ratio

Together those two fields define the ratio, e.g., 1:1, 2:1, 2:3, etc.

Note that the "Trigger quantity" option works independently from the ratio, so you can define a 2:1 ratio that will actually be triggered only as soon as the user has selected quantity of at least 3 for the parent tariff, as shown in the screenshot.

As usual, such limits are enforced on the ticketshop but on the box-office it is only a soft constraint.
