A new barcode type "Market Place" has been introduced for distributors:

Main characteristics of this new barcode type:

  • Supports a high number of different products inside a season (rationale: 5'000 products per year, a season lasts several years)

  • Supports a high number of tickets per performances (rationale: concerts in stadiums)

  • The barcode has 2 sub-formats: one for single entries, one for other products

  • The date isn't encoded into the barcode for performances, in order to avoid reprinting tickets in case of date change

  • The date and time is encoded for visit and timeslot passes (precision: 5 minutes)
