Gyroscopic panorama and block comparison: off-plan purchases are becoming more immersive

From the moment you use the seat map in Matterhorn V2, you will be offering new sensations to your customers. By simply rotating their phone, they will discover panoramic images as if they were there. And much more besides! Do your customers struggle to choose between different areas in the stadium? With two clicks, they will be able to compare the view from several seats simultaneously. An immersive experience that will keep on surprising them, even when they’re buying a subscription for an entire championship.

The new 360° generation

Our smartphones have been equipped with gyroscopes for several years. However, it’s only recently that these sensors and accelerometers have become widely used. With the arrival of 360-degree videos and panoramic images that can be captured in seconds, the natural next step is to use a phone’s orientation to navigate within them.

Tip your phone to direct the video towards the sky or the ground, then move it around you to sweep around the field of vision.

Today, we are integrating this new way of browsing into the SecuTix ticket shop. Selecting a seat on the seat map allows users to see a panoramic image. They can then navigate within it using the gyroscope in their smartphone.

Compare before buying

If a picture’s worth a thousand words, imagine what your users will do with two pictures! The ergonomics of the seat map are evolving to allow users to compare several areas (or blocks) in a hall or stadium. What could be better than browsing several areas simultaneously, comparing their availability and seeing the related panoramic images immediately? The integration is dynamic: users navigate directly within each panorama and can even view them full-screen. More immersive than ever, the area selection experience means that your users can save precious time.

Seat map extended to subscriptions

Until now restricted to single tickets, the seat map’s functions have been boosted. Following the extensive integration of all matches across a season, the seat map now displays the seats available for each match. Your users need to simply select their seats for the duration of their subscription. The same seats will be guaranteed for the entire season.

Further roll-out

Because of the need for some fine-tuning, this function will not be immediately available when Matterhorn V2 is launched, but will be rolled out in the second phase.
