The execution architecture of large SAM campaign has been improved to ensure resiliency.

Running very large campaigns, with several tens of thousands of contacts, would sometimes fail due to either the massive amount of data to process or the duration of the execution itself.

SAM campaign executions can now handle targets of up to 1 million contacts. We recommend splitting campaigns into smaller targets for campaigns larger than 1 million contacts.

Solution

The solution is purely technical and no particular operation is required from users. Upon execution of a campaign the system will automatically split and process contacts in sets of 10K contacts. While the first set will be processed immediately, the 2nd execution will be automatically scheduled to start at the end of the first one. This process will repeat itself until processing the entire set of contacts. The technical improvement has the advantage to be both less prone to failures due to the amount of data to process at each execution and also capable of recovering after a server reboot for example.

Getting started

Simply launch your SAM campaign as usual and let the system create the different executions. The execution screen will display a new execution for each set of 10K contacts, instead of one massive execution.
