Importante note: For your understanding, on this page, documents and emails are used as synonyms.

At this level, you can configure, for each organisation, documents to be created automatically by sales channels. You decide for each document a delivery mode like you would do for tickets.

Sales channel on which this document is configured to be created

The action that triggers the document creation.

In sales process with target groups, "Option" covers both pre-request and requests.

Document to create for the sales channel and the action type defined before. This document can be found in Institution | Initialisation | Document types

Not all documents are available for all action types. Each action type is linked to a set of class of documents. Example: invoices can be associated to action type SALE, but not to action type OPTION (because an invoice cannot be created from an option).

When you add a rule by clicking on "Add Document", selecting the Action type will pre-select available documents in the corresponding drop-down list.

Quantity of documents created and sent.

The document can be sent with or without tickets.

Select "with" only if the document is physically sent with tickets (example: if an invoice is put in envelop with tickets when shipped to customer). In most cases, documents are not sent with tickets.

Rule specific to the organisation, YES or NO.Shipment mode of the document.

Some remarks:

  • Documents cannot be sent by "email" without an email template associated for a given sales channel for a given action
  • If you want a document to be created but not sent by email, you need to select shipment mode "Hand to contact postponed". For this setup to work, you need to have configured in your Shipment modes (Institution | Initialisation | Shipment Modes) a delivery mode of type "Hand to contact postponed" that is authorised for Documents.
