In Secutix back office management, you can enter any character in some basic information of a Contact including special characters, sometimes a semicolon ";" is added by mistake. In term of Contact management, it is not a big deal since operator can remove it manually.

In term of Contact data exporting, it is a significant issue because for some exporting format, a semicolon ";" is understood as a break to create specific empty column. Almost every exporting time, operator has to manually perform the step to detect and correct Contact data before exporting (or sometimes correct the exported data afterward)

Solution

A restriction is done on back office Contact management to prevent operator entering ";".

*Note: this restriction has already been applied on ticket shop. The set of allowed characters is defined at INSTITUTION table - column EXTERNAL_ALLOWED_CHARACTERS (please contact Support team if you want to add additional characters)

Below contact information will apply the restriction:

  • First Name, Last Name, Nickname, Passport number
  • Address Postal code, Town, Address line 1, 2, 3
  • Contact function, Address Salutation, Letter Salutation
  • No labels
